KELOIL BOTTLING SDN BHD

CORPORATE BACKGROUND
Keloil Bottling Sdn Bhd (previously known as Acceptive Sdn Bhd) was incorporated in August, 1996. It has a total paid-up capital of RM5,520,000 and an authorised capital of RM10,000,000. Keloil Sdn Bhd, a company incorporated in Malaysia wholly owned of the company’s shares.
In 1997, it constructed an LPG bottling plant located at Pantai Senok, Bachok, Kelantan, built on 10 acres of land. It has a filling carousel imported from Denmark through Crisplant and a storage bullet that has a capacity to store 140 MT of LPG. The plant started its operation on 21st October, 1998.
On 16th February, 1999, the company had entered into a joint venture agreement with Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT) to transfer its asset and liabilities of RM26,533,008 to the joint venture company, Keloil-PTT LPG Sdn Bhd (KPL). The company invested RM3,240,000 in this joint venture company, representing 60% of its total paid-up capital with the balance of the investment from PTT. Since 28th February, 1999, the company has ceased operation and remain only as a holding company.
Realising the market potentials to market LPG to the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia, KPL has taken the initiative to build another LPG storage and bottling plant in an Industrial Area of Bukit Kayu Hitam in Kedah. The ground breaking ceremony was conferred by the Y.A.B. Menteri Besar Kedah Dato’ Seri Syed Razak bin Hj, Syed Zain on 17th February, 2005. It was completed in October, 2005. The plant facilities are similar to that existed at Bachok, Kelantan with similar capacity.
In 2008, with the expected rise in the domestic demand for LPG, specifically, in the Northern States and East Coast of Malaysian Peninsular, the company is reactivated to trade on LPG from third party (other than from PTT) and utilised it for bottling services provided by KPL or sell it in bulk direct to potential customers, locally and overseas.
Together with KPL, it was categorised under the Business Sector 3 of the 2008 Business Consolidation of the New Keloil Group, that is, to provide LPG bottling services and trading of LPG, petroleum related products and forwarding services.
In 2009, the Company has taken over 100% of Keloil Trading Sdn Bhd from the holding company to better control its operation in the forwarding business, in particular, the clearance of imported LPG at Thailand borders.

In April, 2013, there was a consolidation of LPG Bottling operation, whereby, the Company has taken over the bottling operation from KPL without taking over its asset. The investment of the company has also changed with the disposal of its shares in KPL and Keloil Trading Sdn Bhd to Keloil Sdn Bhd.
In October, 2014, Keloil Bottling Sdn Bhd’s plants have received recognition as complied to the ISO9001:2008 standard for provision of LPG bottling services.
THE BUSINESS
Keloil Bottling Sdn Bhd, initially, supplement the growing LPG demand by its bottling plants operated under KPL to service its customers at Bachok in Kelantan and Bukit Kayu Hitam in Kedah by supplying the domestic bulk LPG. In April, 2013, the Company took over the whole operation of KPL. The potential growth in this sector has called for other third party suppliers of LPG, apart from the LPG supply from PTT to be traded via this company.
The bulk of the LPG bottling services are the filling of domestic LPG cylinders for cooking. There are other commercial usages of LPG, for example for heating water and other industrial needs. In Thailand, the government is encouraging the use of LPG as fuel for vehicles due to its relatively cheaper price. In Indonesia, its government is encouraging its citizens to replace the use of woods and charcoals with LPG for domestic fuel requirement. Other emerging users of LPG are Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
In another words, there are growing demands for LPG in the South East Asian market not only for the growing household requirements but also in the industrial and transportation industry.
